Book Writing Workshop: Special Focus Group (KFK) on Engineering and Architecture, Public University Library 28 - 29 March 2022

A Book Writing Workshop organized by the Special Focus Group (KFK) on Engineering and Architecture of the Public University Library was held on 28-29 March 2022 at the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Library, Gambang Campus. The workshop was officiated by Encik Azman bin Abdul Rahim the Chief Librarian of UMP and also the Chairman of the Special Focus Group (KFK) on Engineering and Architecture of the Public University Library.

The main objective of the workshop is to collect and publish a collection of highest quality content related to the Academic Library. Each participant will write an article or more related to their respective libraries. All these articles will be compiled and reviewed by a certified editor and published by the UMP Publisher.

During the workshop, the trainer shared topics on:
• Introduction and the format of article writing
• The purpose and habits of a writer
• Characteristics of article writing
• Writing an introduction
• Development of ideas
• Ending or conclusion of the article

As the host and organizer, it is hoped that after the completion of the workshop, the participants will be able to:

• Develop writing ideas
• Improve the use of participants' vocabulary
• Improve on the Malay morphology and syntax
• Knowing more efficient techniques of essay writing
• Publish a book
• Understand the language style of writing
