User Education Programme – Web of Science: Your First Stop to Research Discovery (15 June 2021)

An online training for Web of Science was held on the Webex platform on June 15, 2021, in collaboration with the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Library. Dju-Lyn Ching, Solution Consultant Web of Science Group, is the speaker for this training. The training began at 10.30 a.m., and 112 participants, including students, researchers, and lecturers, participated.

The objectives of this training are to ensure participants understand how to conduct literature review efficiently, understand how Web of Science can help you find the most influential and hot research papers and find out about the New Web of Science Platform.

Participants at this exercise were shown how the Web of Science can help them in the process of writing and research. In addition, participants were assisted on how to explore the literature and how to find other related (new and old) papers. Participants also have the opportunity to learn an example of how using a citation index helps to retrieve better information.

Before the session ended, the speaker also answered some questions from the participants. The speaker also introduced 2 new applications that participants can use to assist them in research, namely Web of Science My Research Assistant and EndNote Click. It is hoped that all participants can learn new knowledge while attending this training.
