26 Sept 2019 -Pekan- To support the aspiration of Ministry of Education Malaysia, UMP Library held two (2) program back to back within a week. The programs was held during the UMP Library Carnival week with the aim of encouraging the reading habits and CSR activities for local communites.

On 26th of September 2019, TRIZ- Problem Solving Skills Workshop was held at the UMP Library Pekan. Participants from the local school around Pekan such as MRSM Tun Abdul Razak, Sekolah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Sekolah Menengah Ahmad, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Ubai and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Peramu Jaya attended the TRIZ program and activitie held at Level 4, UMP Library Pekan. Around 60 students attended TRIZ- Problem Solving Skills Workshop which is a half day program. The program started with Morning Motivational Talk by Madam Haslinda Hashim from CMLHS. The topic presented was ‘Berani untuk Berjaya’. As a young and learning people, the student needs to challenge themselves to learn new things and explore their capabilities and practice rational thinking before executing.

The program continues with TRIZ, facilitated by Capt. Imaduddin Abidin. He explain that TRIZ, is the skills to identify and problem solving method. It is most important in solving assignment and projects in certain subjects. With TRIZ, one is able to identify, dissect, explain, solve and predict problems in certain situations or assignments. Capt. Imaduddin is also assisted by Dr. Abdul Rashid Abdul Aziz, Dr. Rohana Hamzah, Dr. Halijah Ahmad, Madam Haslinda Hashim and Cik Jamilah Bebe Mohammad from CMLHS.

Hopefully, UMP Library and CMLHS will continue to work together in the future and provide the best service and facilities for UMP and the local communities.
