Welcome to UMP Library

Knowledge Management Centre (KMC) was established in February 2002, in accordance with the establishment of Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia (KUKTEM).  On 8 October 2007, KUKTEM was rename Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and KMC is now known as Perpustakaan UMP.

In 2009, the library moved to a new building of an area of 6,000 square meter to accommodate 1,200 users at one time. In 2012, UMP Library moved to a permanent building in Pekan Campus. The 16,000 square meter area is able to accommodate 3,000 users. This new building is equipped with all the facilities required as a university library.

The Library’s collections consist of more than 120,000 copies of printed materials and 3187 perpetual e-books that can be accessed via KOHA Library System. There are also 109,768 subscribed e-book titles, 24 subscribed databases & journals which can be accessed through Ez-Proxy. For the user’s convenience, the Library has successfully developed its own databases such as UMPIR, eColLIB and E-Exam. These databases are accessible globally or locally.

Keeping up with the latest technology, the UMP Library actively uses the social media i.e. Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Twitter to inform and update all of its users.
